Summer Already

Sunrise in Florida
Are you wondering with me how half of the year is already gone?

Was it a good half or ...?

Let see. The New Year started on the wrong foot with a friend in a bad accident, another in two surgeries, and my own stomach burning like hell with acute gastritis and ulcer. But even bad things come to an end. After three months in a hospital, several surgeries, and therapy, my friend is walking again. The other one is finally healthy, and my stomach problem is under control providing I don’t forget to take my pills.

On the publishing front, these past six months have been the best selling months I have ever had. My four self-published ebooks, NO MORE LIES; RIGHT NAME, WRONG MAN; BABIES IN THE BARGAIN; and SAILING with YOU have maintained a bestselling status at Amazon.com

Fort Lauderdale High Rises
I just typed The End on NEIGHBORS AND MORE... The first in a new series called HIGH RISES. This romantic suspense is set in a high rise building located on the beach in Fort Lauderdale. High Rises are like huge families where members face love, hate, meddling, and gossiping. When you deal with three hundred plus condos there ought to be friction between some neighbors, friendship with others, and more with a select few.

Bulrb: When her neighbor, and suitor, is found dead in the Jacuzzi, Alexa is a suspect. Can she count on her dear neighbors for help?
The lawyer she loves, a mafioso's grandson; her ex-husband who is trying to keep her to himself; her former friend, the victim's ex-wife who blames Alexa for her husband's infidelity; the ex-husband new girlfriend; the widow's secret lover...

All dear neighbors who may help save Alexa...or incriminate her.

This year is going very quickly. I swear they go faster and faster each year. Sometimes I wish I knew where the slow train is!

Congrats on your bestsellers and your new work.

Half of 2012 is already gone! No!
For me, I mirror part of your expericences, Mona--a death of a beloved family member, and the best sales period I've even had. And those sales were far beyond my expectations. I learned a lot about promoting and pricing during this period, and I feel more confident in making choices.

So, I say keep moving, 2012.
I think historians will look back at the first 12 years in the 21st Century and label it as one of the biggest worldwide upheavals and and time or turmoil and conflicts we've ever seen.

I agree with you Maggie. The yaers and months are going way too fast. On the other hand, I feel i'm getting slower. I think it's called age. Yuck!

Celia, I don't know if promoting has anything to do with sales. I think the right price did it.

Mary, I was with you in oblivion where ever it is. LOL

Ah, Summer. What is that? Downunder we are freezing with below normal temps.

BTW love, love Fort Lauderdale. We think the Gold Coast canals etc. here in Queensland are probably based on that lovely place but on a smaller scale. Sailing out of there on a cruise ship is fantastic as you look up at the lights in all the condos.

Vonnie, I'm sorry it's so cold down under. I visited Sydney twice in July and froze. Kind of funny to be freezing in July for us. Yes Fort Lauderdale is such a pretty city. I call it Paradise on earth.

Mona, I'm so excited that your books are doing well on Amazon. It's good to hear your friend is doing better too. I'm still working on moving up with Amazon. Sigh...Cross your fingers for me.

I've made progress, but it's been slow. I'm working on print edits now, a new story, 3 novels finaled in the Reader's Favorite contest but have had ho-hum sales through the KDP Select program.

crossing my fingers that the rest of year shows progress even if it's slow. Don't want to go backward.

Smiles
Steph
