What I love and What I hate

I love the ocean and the beach, but I hate the mountain.
I can swim for hours but I am afraid of height.
I love traveling but I prefer staying home.

I love reading historical novels and love writing romantic suspense and contemporary romances, but I hate long series where the end is never the end, and all the books seem to have the same plot.
I love writing a book, but I prefer finishing a book.

I am shy around people but I love to socialize.
I have a lot of friends around me but I have even more friends on the Internet.
I love making resolutions but I wish I could keep them.
I hate revolts and revolutions but how do you get freedom without them?
I love cats, accept dogs, but I am afraid of horses.

I love nice dresses but I wear pants all the time.
I love nice dresses but I can't fit in them anymore.
I can eat chocolate but I prefer almond and pistachio.

So what about you? What do you love the most (other than family and friends)
And what do you hate?

If you like to travel and love to read, come and enjoy my international romances. I will take you around the world through stories that simmer with emotion and sizzle with heat.

Good post. I agree with you about endless series, Mona, and how contradictory many of our likes and dislikes are. Your blog is beautiful. I want to find a new dress for spring this year, somehow. :) I don't like most of the styles these days.

Great post. I love the mountains, but I love the beach more. And I love finishing a book too! For me, editing a book I just finished is easier than the creative process of writing it. While writing, I'm wondering if I'm ever going to finish it.

I love all your pictures and your universal perspective Mona.

I love it when a story comes together and I hate it when I'm having a very bad hair day.

It really makes you think, Mona. I knw one of my loves is writing, but I hate promotion. I would rather sit and crank out stories, but I need to sell them.

Beth, I love your blog and I'm always there. I wish we live closer. I would go shoping with you for dresses.

Lilly, i am like you. I can edit forever, but writing a book takes so much concentration. I will start a new one on Feb 1st. I will challenge myself to 500-1000 words a day. Now I am writing an outline and sketching my characters. To think about it, you just gave me the idea of a new post.

Maggie, glad you like my pictures. That cruise was super. A bad hair day for me always end with stomach spasms. Apparently any stress falls on my stomach.

Caroline, I do love your posts too.
I am a contemporary novel author but reading historicals is my relaxation.

Sandra, you're the nicest mommy a lost cat can have. I should have given you my Wendy when I moved to an apartment with no animals rule.

Ilona, I should have added in my post. I hate promo, I hate blogging, I hate wasting my time on promotion when I can be writing. And I so deeply admire my friends who excell at promotion.

I love Paris, yet hate the long flight to get there. I love the mountains, yet hate the bugs. I love the beach, but hate tanning. I love chocolate and hate that it loves my hips so much it just won't leave. I love writing, but hate the interruption of promoting. I love your blog, but hate that I need to spend more time writing in mine...

I love the mountains, but I like the beach. I wouldn't wear a bathing suit if you paid me to! But the views from my little lot in NC are so calming and thrilling for me.
I love writing and hate editing! I wear dresses because Florida is so darn hot!!!
And I love you Mona!
